         « BIRDMAN » wins the best Picture Oscar
 included the Best Director,  and Best Original Screenplay for    Alejandro González Iñárritu. 
                                   

Bravo por este gran triunfo a un director con muy interesante recorrido, y que junto con agradecer su reconocimiento, entrega un mensaje recordatorio del rol de la inmigración especialmente mexicana en la construcción del fabuloso pais  que son los EU!

Doble Oso de Plata para Chile en Berlín: Patricio Guzmán en Guión y Pablo Larraín Premio Gran Jurado

Los premios para “El Botón de Nácar” a Mejor Guión (Oso de Plata) y el Premio del Jurado para “El Club” (Oso de Plata) hacen de esta  edición del Festival de Cine de Berlín una versión histórica para la cinematografía chilena, puesto que es primera vez que dos cintas nacionales vuelan dentro de lo más alto en el cine mundial.  A estos reconocimientos se suman los Premios Teddy, a las temáticas homosexuales, donde también arrasó Chile.

Chile triunfó en Berlín. Si el 2013, fue el año de Paulina García al recibir el Oso de Plata a la Mejor Actriz en la película Gloria de Sebastián Lelio, este año el premio fue por partida doble. El club, de Pablo Larrín, se llevó el segundo premio en orden de importancia al ser galardonado con el Oso de Plata Premio Especial del Gran Jurado, y Patricio Guzmán, que obtuvo el Oso de Plata al Mejor Guión con el documental El Botón de Nácar, secuela de laureada película Nostalgia de la Luz. El Oso de Oro con sabor político fue  para Taxi del iraní Jafar Panahi, ausente por imperativo de Teherán.

News: 
America has nominated 10 buildings by Frank Lloyd Wright for international listed status – including the influential architect's Guggenheim Museum in New York and his only free-standing skyscraper (+ slideshow).

The nomination is the United State's first attempt to add examples of its modern architecture to the list of the world's most important structures, managed by international heritage body UNESCO

Also included on the list of nominated buildings are Fallingwater – one of the world's best-known private houses – and Taliesin West and East, the summer and winter homes Wright designed for himself that are now occupied by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture
